Our company was in the midst of a grueling search for a new IT provider as we were moving from a cloud server, to an in-house server (complete IT overhaul) when we were introduced to Paladin IT by a respected mutual colleague. We had started our search in November of 2016, went through countless meetings with other IT support companies in the area (they all paled in comparison to Paladin IT), and decided to sign on with Paladin in April of 2017 after having already worked with them for over a month outside of any signed contract. That’s right, Stan and Phil took the time to closely work with us (over the phone, and in person!) as we had countless phone conferences with Dell to make sure we had all the hardware and software we needed without really knowing whether we were signing any agreements. I’m guessing if you are looking for a new IT provider, you have endured some of the same headaches I have dealt with in the past: Excuses for problems not being solved, slow response times, being oversold for unnecessary upgrades, etc. Paladin IT has been our Managed IT provider since August of 2014 and since inception have been responsive and professional in the management of our IT infrastructure. Initially, we starting looking for a new provider in late 2013/early 2014 because of a long-standing issue with problems between our VOIP phone system and our business network. Our two previous providers were unable to solve this issue for over a year. When Paladin came on board, they analyzed the network issues by getting all the players together: phone provider, internet service provider, DHMS, and Paladin techs. Paladin identified several network issues and incompatibilities that were resolved within a reasonable time. Our phone system no longer causes disruption to our business.
After they solved our initial problem, Paladin improved our security by installing new tools to help prevent viruses and malware. They also installed a backup and disaster recovery system. This system included an on-site backup server and nightly replication to cloud storage. It gives us the capability to run our business using the on-site backup server if our main server fails. If the worst happens and disaster strikes that physically destroys some or all our IT infrastructure and critical business data, we can run our business in the cloud on a virtual server.
Paladin also streamlined our systems by:
- migrating our in-house Exchange server to Office365
- discovering duplicate data on our server saving us storage space
- identifying a server that was no longer needed.
In general, issues that took our previous provider days or weeks to solve are solved very quickly by the Paladin team.
